ANNOUNCEMENT!!!

Sorry for shouting, but I'm utterly delighted to announce that my Etsy store Blue is Bleu is finally open!


So far I've got only a few items up but within the next week I'll have more. Of course I had to go injure my left index finger in a nasty lemon-slicing incident (I just relived it... Ugh) so knitting's a little owwie.

Don't worry, I didn't bleed on any of my knits :P

I Heart Silhouettes

Unfortunately, I live half a world away from my parents and sisters. Literally. My parents and middle sister are in Singapore, while my youngest sister is in Australia. Aunts, uncles, cousins etc are scattered everywhere.
    I saw this photograph on a House Tour on Apartment Therapy and now I really want to do a wall of silhouette portraits of my loved ones. And I have the perfect wall for it too -- one wall in the hallway from the library to the kitchen of our home has remained completely bare since we moved in a year ago. Everytime I walk by it, I feel sad for it because most of our other walls are adorned with art, photographs or my handiwork.

I've toyed with the idea of slapping a humongous mirror on it but something's always stopped me. Now I know why! One fine day I'll tackle this project. Loved ones, be warned: I'll be asking for a portrait photo sometime in the future so start practising.

Farewell Dear Domino

The news is everywhere on the blogosphere. I've said it out loud to my hubs so it must be true. Its March edition will be Domino magazine's last.

Why does this always happen to things I love?

I find the perfect make-up / moisturiser / lip balm etc and then they stop making it. Why? WHY? Oh well, I'm just glad they did a feature on Zooey Deschanel in their current issue. I love her, and I was surprised (and possibly the last person) to find out that her sister is Emily Deschanel of Bones. Whom I also love.

So goodbye my dear Domino *sigh* You shall be sorely missed. I'm going to cling to Real Simple and hope like hell they don't rip that away from me too.

I spied this picture on The Sartorialist. The entire ensemble is just brilliant. Everytime I think one detail's my favourite, I change my mind. Simply brilliant.

Yesterday I took a day trip to Northampton, MA with my mum-in-law and her sister and I saw the cutest mugs.

Aren't they so cute? Of course you'd have to hang on to the first two for the most part, but during the winter months, the warmth is quite welcome. I kind of wish I'd gotten them, but then again this house has only two people and already about 20 mugs. They were cheap at Ikea. Leave me alone.
