52 Lists: Favourite TV Shows From Childhood

I clearly watched A LOT of television as a child. I still do. It's an affliction my entire family suffers from haha! This week's list for the 52 Lists project is favourite shows from my childhood. The list could go on and on but these are my favourite. Oh and also, Rainbow Brite. Someone on Instagram reminded me. How could I forget her?!?! Those little sprites were the cutest little things ever.

When I was in uni, my friend and housemate, Margie, and I decided to rent a VHS tape (REMEMBER THOSE?!?!) of the Care Bears and we kind of regretted it immediately. Watching it as 20-somethings made us realise it was quite stupid. Well, not stupid per se... It just made me sad that some of the magic was gone. It was like me revisiting my favourite spaghetti bolognese dish from childhood and realising it was complete rubbish. So sad. Although I'm pretty sure Fraggle Rock is forever awesome. And Noddy too. I LOVE NODDY SO SO MUCH.

Noddy... the little man with the red and yellow car...

Seriously guys, too much telly.

The gummi bears had their own show? Who knew lol although I'm sorry to break it to you... Or maybe I won't. I'll just say, don't watch Noddy, some magic may be lost lol Some good pics there, thanks for sharing :)

Guess we didn't have Noddy in the US

Sesame Street
Fraggle Rock
Square One
Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego
Ghostwriter
Full House
Batman (Adam West)
The Muppet's show
The New York Stock Exchange ticker with my dad (I think he tricked me into thinking I liked watching that)

You are definitely younger than I am! Mighty Mouse, The Jetsons, Underdog, The Flintstones... those were my Saturday morning cartoons!

LOVED Fraggle Rock. There's a new version of TMNT on now, and I'm secretly glad that I get to watch it with my son.

Wow - Mask. Nice! I thought I was the only kid in the world watching that one… It was a favourite. Enough to add the toys to my Christmas wish list as a kid...

All of these would be on my list except for Noddy and Postman Pat - we didn't get those ones here. But I recognize all the others. I dug The Wuzzles, too. Disney had a hot streak for a while - Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Rescue Rangers, Tailspin…

Thanks for a nostalgic mind jolt! Oh, and Fraggles? Canadian. :-)

I love Noddy too (and Big Ears). Did you have Magic Roundabout with Dougall?
Ah, childhood; so far away........

Ooh and Postman Pat...
"Postman Pat, postman Pat, postman Pat and his black and white cat; early in the morning...." (getting strange looks from my hubby and kids here....) Memories.

I think you should gather your beautiful handwritten lists and create a fabric on spoon flower. I would buy it.
