Even though I was slightly disappointed that I wasn't doing this quilt in the brights, I'm very thrilled with how it's turned out. I have quite a few baby quilts to make for friends and family expecting later this year, so I'm certain you'll see at least another one of these!
The backing and binding are the same brown and white dot fabric that I'd used in the girl version. I just think the brown frames it so nicely. And who doesn't like a dotty binding!
The crosshatch quilting was done in an ecru colour... I'd initially done a few lines in a medium grey but I hated it so much that I ripped them all out. Tedious doesn't even begin to describe it. But I'm glad I did it because the quilting doesn't fuss so much with the churn dash blocks anymore. Got to let those babies shine!
This little lovely is going to Toronto with a couple of other quilts... I'll show you when I get them finished :)

It looks great! How do you mark for quilting a crosshatch like that, or do you use points/seams as guides?
Lovely - and perfect choice for binding!
Love this very much!! Polka dot bindings are the BEST.
Love all those solid colors together. I'd want to keep it too!
I hope we see a lot more of them too. I hope i see one of those in my own house this year : )
Looks great! I love the crosshatch pattern on it. I'm not sure I would have thought of it with that pattern, but it really looks good.
I like this quilt nice simple design. I think I should make one.

Love this! Love all your quilts, actually!
awesome pattern!
Just a beautiful quilt...understated elegance for a boy! Who will probably need that as he grows up!
eep! This quilt makes me want to lick the laptop's screen. Delicious, Audrie!!!
You have worked magic with those solids. Great selection of colours and pattern Audrie.
I love me some Churn Dash blocks! Adorable quilt.
I love this quilt! I am getting ready to start a churn dash quilt, but I can't decide on fabric colors. I want to avoid white, since it is for a little boy, after all. :) Yours is perfect- great job!!!
