I Did A Dumb, Dumb Thing

So, I think I have a case of the Dumbs. First I delete an episode of Big Bang Theory, now this.

My darning foot is broken. I seriously shouldn't be allowed to touch things.

I was quilting last night, and suddenly I realised it was getting difficult to move the quilt around. At first I thought it was just because the foot had come to a point where there were lots of seams and was having trouble getting over that. Nope. It just continued to be horrifically difficult to move, so I did what any normal person would've done.

I removed the foot, fiddled with it, and subsequently broke it.

Yup, broke the damn thing. See that little pin thing in the picture? It's supposed to be attached. Now it's not. Therein lies the problem.

I don't know if the foot itself was giving me trouble in the first place, or whether it's my machine. Please don't let it be my machine. I'm bringing it down to the shop when I go get a new darning foot, so fingers and toes crossed. Why does this have to happen when I'm in a rush to get these quilts finished! Why!

If thats the worst thing to happen to you while quilting, I'd say you're doing pretty good. Even if you have to buy a new one, its only gonna be like $10. But then again, $10 would buy enough fleece to make one of them cool looking snuggies!!! NOT!
