I'm not a huge fan of the Olympics but I will watch bits and bobs just to get a few highlights. I did watch quite a bit of gymnastics and am now an expert in all things gymnastics. I really am. But I was thrilled when my Pretend Boyfriend Nathan Adrian won his first individual gold. Look at him. He should just win for being pretty. And hot. Pretty hot. Hah. I'm funny.
Hubba hubba. Biceps. Abs. Biceps. Abs. What an abundance of gifts. And he's tall. Like he could be a tree kind of tall. Plus he's pretty in the face area. And it turns out he's kind of funny. I do like me some tall, pretty and funny men. My Actual Husband is one.
I like to pretend that he's dedicated the win to me, and that we're intrinsically linked because he's half Chinese. Also, I'm quite delusional. And the hubs is not pleased with me. I cannot for the life of me figure out why.
Speaking of Speedos, I found this bit about his trunks splitting as he started a race. And won. What a good Pretend Boyfriend, always winning for me.

Uhm, yeah... There's been more than one sigh over here about that one. Definitely the hottest guy on the swim team. I was quite taken with Romanian flag bearer, too. MMMMmmmm.... Olympics.... DId I mention that Alexsei Nemov is the reason I started learning Russian in the '90s? True story. I tell people it was to read Chekhov in the original language - I have a BFA in theatre after all - but that is a pretentious half-truth designed to hide the fact that I'm a slave to my baser instincts. HAHA.
And your sister's pretend boyfriend seems lovely but what the heck is going on with his hair???

And I told my husband I loved the competition! HA! I'm partial to Ryan Lochte and really and truly I had a crush on him before finding out he's 50% Cuban (my husband is 100% so somehow that all works out fairly!?!?). But then a friend of mine posted a photo of her with him (she's a swim coach and met him) and now we have to fight for him.
