Well, and a skirt from American Apparel, but that doesn't quite have a ring to it.
When I booked our hotel in Chelsea, I wasn't aware that it was a mere three blocks from The City Quilter! How thrilled was I?! We'd arrived at the hotel before check-in time so we wandered around and the quilt shop was our first stop.
The hubs (bless him) sat on a chair and let me have my fun. And what fun I had! Well, I did control myself... my basket was pretty full initially, then I put back things I didn't 'need'. Ahem.
I got this tiny little Japanese hexagon patchwork book, and it's so darling! I need to start drinking tea so I can make a tea cosy for teapot I don't currently own!
And I also made off with a few cuts of Japanese fabrics that were too good to pass up. Love those scooters and hexagons!
Didn't go to Purl Soho this time, but I reckon I spent enough there last time so I could skip a visit!

Ooooh! Nice haul! Love the metro map fabric :o)
I want to go to NYC now! :)
Just the best way to spend time, fondling fabric!
Mmmm....love the fabric with the double decker buses...is that a London fabric? Whenever I go to a city, i always check the distance between my fave hotel and the nearest LQS!! Extra points for the hotel, if the LQS is within walking distance (or close on the Metro/underground).
Lovely fabrics, I need to go to NYC, never been....maybe you could be my tour guide lol.
Sounds like you had fun!! Love what you purchased!:) I love that little patchwork book!! Your hubs sounds like mine-heehee!! They know how happy it makes us to look at fabric!!:)
The hexagon fabric just gorgeous!!!! Love the NYC map too =)
I love City Quilter. I'll skipped Purl Soho in the future; this year I again made no purchases there.
You lucky duck! Never been to New York.
Enjoy your treasures ; )
I want that hexagon patchwork book!
My first visit to The City Quilter was July 31 and my husband was there and he found a quilt that he wants me to make. Have to love that!!
