Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Day!

*** THIS GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED ***

Happy Sew, Mama, Sew! Giveaway Daaaaay!!! I'm offering up not one, but TWO copies of Denyse Schmidt's Single Girl pattern! It's possibly my favourite pattern of hers, and I'm happy to help spread the love!

I've started working on my own queen-sized Single Girl but it's been put aside so I can finish some other things first. Hopefully by year's end, I'll have a finished quilt on my bed!

All you need to do for a chance to win is leave a comment. Maybe tell me what you did on the weekend? Or what you're currently working on? Or something completely random. Goodness knows how much I enjoy randomness :)

[Edited to add: Please make sure you include your email address, especially if you're a no-reply blogger!!!]

Make sure you check out the other giveaways at Sew, Mama, Sew!

We spent the weekend with a day trip so my mother, her sister, and four brothers (all ages 89 to 70) could have a mini reunion. It was so much fun seeing the six of them together.

Ooh, I'm the queen of randomness. Let's see...I have toe-thumbs, and I was related to absolutely nobody else in the world who had them...until I had kids. Now two out of my three daughters have them, and one of them only has ONE weird thumb and one normal thumb. Poor thing. Thanks so much for the chance at this giveaway! I've been eyeballing that quilt pattern for a while!

Julie said...

Oh, I LOVE this pattern! My skills aren't nearly good enough for it yet, but I was really just thinking the other day that I should buy it soon so it doesn't disappear before I'm ready! For my entry, I'll go with completely random: I learned to sew the weekend after I got my wisdom teeth removed. I was bored but miserable and in pain, so my parents gathered up scrap bits from all over the house and showed me how to make a basic quilt, with ties. That was ... 12 years ago and I still sleep with it every night! Thanks for the giveaway chance! (gotthebutton [at] me [dot] com)

random: Tonight I finally succeeded in baking a certain cake recipe that I had failed at three times before. It is just as fabulous as I expected and well worth the several failed attempts.

Oh how I love this pattern. Thanks for the give away!! I am currently working on a report for work, so not so exiting. But in my head I am working on a quilt with letters. The quilt will say "Tu es formidable". That is, you are wonderful. A little girl in my sons class told me this after I had shared a fairytale with them, and it has made me smile ever since.

Oooh, this pattern is on my birthday wish list this year! I love the solid you're using for your quilt, I think I like dark grey for this quilt even better than white. As to what I'm working on it's quite a list of WIPs right now but I'm slowly working on a bookshelf quilt for my sewing room which has involved learning paper piecing so I can have a tea cup, spool of thread etc.

I'm torn about the Single Girl pattern. I really like it and like DS's style, but I hear that it's got lots of pieces and takes a while to get it all put together. If I win one of these, then I'll know it's the quilting universe telling me I'm ready for the challenge, it's time to jump in, hahaha!

I love that pattern too, and want to own a copy! Thank you for participating in the giveaway! Hows this for random: As a huge baseball fan, and a resident of the greatest baseball city in the U.S., (St. Louis, Cardinal Nation, for those of you international folks), so anyway, last night at the Cards vs. Phillies game at Busch Stadium, a guy ran onto the field just before the start of the 7th inning. Not just some guy, a NAKED ONE!! The number of flashes popping from the crowd was hysterical! And the cheers when the security tried to capture him and he got away was priceless! So anyway, just thought I pass that along, for a little chuckle!!
