I used a Little Apples layer cake and part of the Rainbow Block Template for this quilt, and it was so much fun. I know a lot of people are a bit wary of curves, but I say try it. Be a little fearless and try it if you haven't yet.
And if it turns out you really don't like it, then you can go ahead and write me a strongly-worded email. Which I'll just file under "Junk Mail". Sound good? Alrighty then.
I quilted it with an overall straight(ish) line grid with a light grey thread to combat all the curves. The backing is a 108" Moda Dottie quilt back. I love that Moda's come out with these cute wide backs. As much as I like a pieced back, sometimes once you're done with the quilt top, you're done. Am I right?
For the binding I went with a black and white stripe because there's a lot of black outline in the fabric so I thought it went very well together. Plus it looks adorable with the teal :)

It's very cute. That fabric line looks perfect with the template you chose.
I'm getting there with curves. They no longer cause me palpitations and panic. We regard each other with cautious respect.
What a darling quilt & perfect binding, as you say...

Love this quilt!
What a darling quilt! I must admit I am afraid of curves, but one of my goals for the year is to try them. Maybe I'll try after I've finished up a few projects.
B&W stripey binding FTW!!
