Four Squared Quilt

I was playing with my solids the other day (Oh don't even pretend you don't play with your fabric) and pulled out some fabrics I thought should play together on a very simple quilt. I think they play quite nicely together :)

Kona Tangerine is one my absolute favourites (Kona Pomegranate is the pink in this quilt, and another of my favourites) and it's funny to think that it is, because a few short years ago, I hated the colour orange. Fancy that.

I quilted it with vertical lines, without marking, as usual. I like the wonky, what can I say! The thread is variegated in the jewel tones I used in the quilt and matched it quite nicely, I think.

I was going to use the same grey and white dot for the binding that I'd used on the back, but I found this green dot sitting on the shelf just as I was about to cut my binding, and thought it might work better. See, there's merits to keeping one's sewing area untidy! Hehe!

It ended up measuring about 39" by 43" and is now available in the shop :)

Gorgeous! Simple and stunning! Are the other colours kona too? Could you please tell me what brand of thread you've used, I've always avoided variegated thread but you've made it look so fantastic now I'd like to try too.
