There were quite a variety of shades of colours and prints in the quilt since most of the fabrics were handed over to me by Olivia's mummy. But I like that it didn't have just one shade of tangerine or pink... makes it a little more scrappy. And I do love my scrappy!
And as you can see, I stippled the quilt... I haven't stippled in EONS. It felt a little awkward to begin with but I fell back into it pretty quickly.
I added strips of floral prints and the bright orange prints that Olivia's mummy professed a great deal of love for.
I used Kona Orange for the binding because I wanted it to just frame the quilt, not fight with the quilt top.
I can't wait to deliver this :) I don't think she's having a baby shower, or even a sprinkle, so I'll probably give this to her the next time I see her. Hope she likes it!

Orange was always a color that I hated until I found a fat quarter pack of fabrics that also came with lots of pinks. NOW I know what I am going to do with those lucious fabrics.
Thanks for the inspiration!!!!!
What a fun quilt...love the bright colors and the fun blocks!
It is insanely cute.... Love it, love the colors, the pattern, everything :)
Oh! So pretty! So heartable! :)
I love it - I really like the scrappy pink/orange look. With just the right amount of white so your eyes don't go buggy. It's very sunny and fun!
loving the colour combo and how it all jives so nicely!
I've always loved orange and pink together! Your quilt is lovely.

This is a wonderful quilt! I bet its going to be well loved both by Mama and baby!
I love that block too! It's all the dots, of course. I have a whole stack of orange and pink fabric. sometimes I just stare at it. I should turn it into a cute quilt like this one!
This is so yummy! I love these warm colors and what you have done with them. Beautiful quilt.
Sort of off topic but if you don't ever wear jeans... what do you wear everyday?? I'm very intrigued, as I am in a jeans rut and would love ideas :)
