Don't mind the very strange colour combos... it's just to give you an idea of what each block looks like.
It'll end up being about 66" by 78" (before washing), and I was thinking of using scraps because goodness knows we all have PLENTY. Plus I just adore scrap quilts :)
The borders will be a solid or a very small print so the blocks stand out... so I'll figure out yardage required. And I'll probably try to figure out how many blocks are required for queen and king sizes for those who'd prefer a larger quilt.
The quilt-along will start at the end of July or early August to give everyone time to finish current projects. Myself included! (My list is growing and growing...) And since there's a few blocks to get through, I'll spread the quilt-along over a period of a few weeks.
I realise not everyone will have the time or urge to quilt along with me, so I'll have it on my sidebar for reference once we're done.
If you've any questions, let me know! I'm excited! :)

I can see this done in batiks. I would love to join in once you get started :)
Pretty :)
Lovely... this should be fun.
All those stars and pinwheels are so cute!
This is going to be a killer quilt. Can't wait to get started!
Glad you are starting later..I am in another quilt-along right now and should be through close to the time you start, give or take a week. Hope to join...curious to see how fast you intend to go with this. It will stretch my limits a bit, which is good.
uh oh, i'm getting scared with all the HST and stars... don't have that much experience with them. but i'm sure once finished it will look great. the timing sounds good too. i'll be on summer holidays in the beggining of august and it's a great excuse to explain my husband why i need to take my sewing stuff with me :)
I like it. I like it.
This is very pretty. I want to join the quilt a-long. I will start it late since we are on vacation August 1!!!!!!
OK :)
pretty sure I'm loving this one! Can't wait!
I'm totally going to try and go along, but FYI, I still haven't finished the very first ORB quilt, so I have very little faith I will keep up. :)
Getting excited!
It is so beautiful!
It looks great, Audrie! I'm very excited to hop in on this, and scraps will be a GREAT theme for me! My scrap bin is overflowing--and I just had a giveaway of epic scrappy proportions! I swear, they multiply every time I leave the room...
Wow! This design looks amazing! I love the mix of colors you used...when my mojo returns down the road, I will have to give this one a go.
Late July/Aug will be good! Some of my other sew-alongs will be done.... I do want to try this :)
Thank you for planning this!
