Cat Quilt Done!

The cat quilt is done. Finally. It's nothing that I'd have chosen to make but the colours are just so pretty that I do quite like it.

Piecing it was fairly easy... the paper pieced cats did take a bit of fiddling but even that wasn't bad at all.
The problem came with the quilting... I'd initially done hand quilting on it then decided I absolutely hated what I'd done (I wanted to stab it with a dull spoon) and decided to stipple it instead. Yes, yes, I'm boring. But I like the crinkles!

All finished, just before washing.

Another of it before washing... before the crinkles.

Ahhhhh crinkles! Love them!

For the backing and binding I'd used one of the greens I'd used in the blocks. I seem to like using the same fabric for the backing and binding these days for some odd reason.

It'll be going to its new home very soon... just across the border in Massachusetts :)

This is such a fun quilt! The cats are very low key and quite lovely in with the bold, bright colors!
