Everyone, meet Hedwig.
Hedwig, meet everyone.
I'm totally in love with my Janome 7700. And intimidated. When I sat down to learn how to use this beast of a machine, all I could think was "I am never going to remember this crap."
I'm totally in love with my Janome 7700. And intimidated. When I sat down to learn how to use this beast of a machine, all I could think was "I am never going to remember this crap."So I came home to study the manual, and my supportive husband scoffs "Hah!! That's the manual? Hahahahaha!"
Thanks honey, you always know how to make me feel better.
But I figured her out. It's not that difficult... I was just afraid I'd do something stupid and someone would come into my studio and take it away from me. I had to bring it back to the shop to adjust the tension to suit my thread, but aside from that, it's been brilliant sewing with the 7700.

The only thing I was fighting was the weight of the quilt itself... the 7700 was a joy.
It was an expensive decision, but ultimately a really good one. Hedwig and I are going to be wonderful friends for a long, long time :)

Congratulations on the new addition to your family! Hi Hedwig!
that's exciting!
But please don't take Hedwig out on a midnight escape... deal?
I need to get something else for quilting...
WOW, I really want one! I had a dream last night about trading my machine in for one too...lol and I just got my baby. I am going for a showing of one this weekend, maybe I should just stay home.
Looks amazing! My husband probably would have done the samething when he saw the Manual! I don't think they understand the love we Women have for our sewing machines!
By the way! Love your Blog!
Oooh la la! She's a beauty! (And a beast, but in a good way.) May you have many happy years together. :-)
Fabulous - I love the foot storage on the top! I can't believe how huge she is. Congratulations!
Oh my goodness! She is a beauty! I love the way they put all her attachments and other goodies right in the machine. So why didn't anybody think of that before? I have the 6600 and love it, but ooh I think I want one just like Hedwig. Did you fit the queen in the larger bed without a problem? No stuffing and the like? Enjoy!
Swoon!
Sigh.
Oh my, isn't Hedwig just a stunner?! Congrats on your new machine...she's a beaut!
Congrats and have fun!

I was just wondering how things are going with Hedwig? I'm thinking about getting a 7700 and I was just wondering if you're still loving yours? Are there any niggly features or is it all awesome?!
