Beep Bots!

I love robots. So anytime I see a robot fabric, I get really happy :) I saw these Beep Bot fabrics by Hoffman and I had to make a quilt!

It was all improv... I had no plan. I kept throwing in Kona solids and a navy pindot, and tada.

Some of the robots have this confused look on their faces. I like to imagine that's what I'd look like if I were a robot.

I must say, I quite like the back. I used the fabric from the front in larger chunks to piece a back together. Pretty cute.

I love those multicoloured dots.

And for the binding, a multicoloured stripe from the collection. Stripey binding is always so perfect, no?

It ended up measuring 40" by 54" and is currently in the shop SOLD! :)

This turned out great! I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't pass up robot fabric. Maybe that's why people keep making it...

Aren't you clever! I love your improv quilting-- I haven't tried it. Actually, I'm kind of afraid. How about you do a blog posting about improv quilting. I need help breaking free from my patterns.

Oh my! I just found you from the SMS giveaway day. I LOVE this quilt. I want to make a robot quilt for my boy and this is great inspiration! You see so much out there for girls, but not as much for boys. This is great :)

I have quite a number of Robot-fabrics. My daughter has a good friend who simply loves Robots. I collect these so that I can make robot stuff for him, each time on his birthday. They are both 10.
