A post of tiny little things that each don't warrant a post of their own...
A good friend of mine presented me with these beautiful orchids for my birthday :) She had no idea that orchids are the national flower of Singapore, and that I adore them because they remind me of my paternal grandma and my maternal grandpa because they both raised them. It makes me soooo happy to have it in my home to look at every day :)And a sneak peek of a little baby shower gift I made for my husband's cousin's baby. Not washed yet, so no crinkles.
I was shooting for something pink since I knew that's what their colour was, and then it came down to little pink birds or ladybugs. Then I found out she'd been unable to find the crib bedding and quilt she'd wanted... and the bedding was all ladybugs!
When I was younger, I was obsessed with all things ladybugs. I had so many ladybug things that it got to be a little disturbing. Now my love is just a slow simmer. But my love of ladybugs made making this quilt even more fun. I can't wait to give it to her :)
There's other things I can't show you... I'll show you very soon. Promise.

Beautiful Quilt! I love the little pink ladybugs! The green goes nicely with it too :)
Such a cute quilt.
Those orchids are gorgeous! I haven't tried to maintain them in years (bad track record). Go girl! Loving the looks of the ladybug quilt, well done!
cute baby quilt!
I love orchids but can't keep houseplants alive for the life of me. I hope yours survives!
