I haven't gotten a new tattoo in about 10 years and I feel the itch returning. Of all the tattoos I have, only a couple of them mean anything to me. The rest, I chalk up to youth. I don't regret any of them because what's the use in that?
There's a few tattoo ideas on my list... a portrait of my maternal grandmother (the one I'm making the pillows for), my mum and dad's names in cursive script, and a sewing machine. I like to tell my sisters I'd like to get their names, one on each bum cheek. I'm only joking of course. Well, mostly. But I digress.
I started looking around for tattoos of sewing machines and now I really want one. Uh oh.

I always love learning the stories behind tattoos
I kinda love the idea of a sewing machine tattoo. Beautiful, meaningful, and really difficult to screw up. :-)
I love that sewing machine tattoo...if I were a tattoo kind of person, I would definitely get one of those!
How fun! Love the idea!
Love it! I never would've thought of getting a sewing machine tattoo, but that's too cool! I have one tattoo and if I were to ever get another this gives me soooo many more ideas. My husband is sitting next to me, so I showed this to him and he now thinks I need a tattoo like a skull and cross bones but the cross bones would be knitting needles and the scull would be a ball of yarn. hahaha, too many fun ideas!! Thanks for sharing :)
Me too, me too! (jumping up and down) I want to go with you! I only have one tattoo so far and have been dreaming of collecting a couple more lately. I adore this vintage sewing machine. I'm off to check out that Flickr group - so cool.
What a cool tattoo!
