Who else wants to stab the damn groundhog for this six more weeks of winter nonsense? I've had enough and I'm ready for spring. Who's with me?
Anyway, I made this improv quilt from leftover fabric from this quilt... I love the Nature-ology fabrics so I couldn't let them sit in a crumpled mess any longer.
I honestly wasn't quite sure where I was going with it when I started and I'm sort of on the fence about whether I love it or not. And these two blocks too.

Love the quilt... I have some Cake Rock Beach so you've given me an idea for a wall quilt.
And yes I am SO READY for spring...I live in MN and we have had way too much snow & cold this year!
So pretty! Snowing here... can't wait for WARM. WARMER would be fine, actually.
Spectacular. Love it. It belongs in a muesum.
Now, about that groundhog. I heard a piece of JuicyFruit gum will kill them. I put out a whole pack here. I'm so over this stuff and ready for some GREEN and NATURE.
As always, my stop here has lighten my gloomie mood..

Lovely, lovely quilt! Over here in Tokyo, the ume (plum) trees are blossoming - a true sign that spring is coming fast! The 2nd pic reminds me how lucky we are to have our own ume tree, right outside our front door. It's Saturday morning here. Happy weekend!
I spewed Coke all over my screen when I read about the groundhog! Oh, thank you for voicing my deepest desires! And I think he'd be quite lovely served with a white sauce and champagne! lol
The quilt is quite simply beautiful. Very Asian or Orental if I can say that. Lovely Audrie!
Very modern artsy looking quilt. I think it looks great. I hope you learn to love it too.
Oh my god, Audrie - it is GORGEOUS!!!
The Canadian groundhog said boo-urns too. But I have never known a mild or snow-less winter so I do not habour the same murderous feelings towards the weather rodents....
Beautiful quilt! The colors are super, too!
As for that groundhog... yeah I'd like to have a few words with him... and I have a wooly caterpillar that I have a bone to pick with as well. Winter. Ugh.
well I Love it! I would love to do something like this. The fabrics are VERY nice.
So, so cool. You always inspire me. I'm feeling in a bit of a funk today and I think an afternoon of improv quilting might help me snap out of it. Thanks for the motivation.
Seriously, so cool.
I love that quilt!!!! Just a few bits of blue really make them stand out and the quilt fun!
And I'm ready for spring, too!
i do!! my flight got cancelled & i'm stuck in indy... but i do love your quilt.. super cute!!!
Sorry dear but I live in the Hot Hot south so I don't want the weather to change any time soon. Visit my blog and I will tell you where I left my heart!! Love your quilt.
this is so pretty! I love the random placement of the squares and the fabrics that you used...it's so peaceful!
