Four Corners Runner

I love Robert Kaufman's Fruit Basket Pears. Don't you? I've used some of what I have for a couple things here and there, but I always thought it'd be cute for something on the table, so I made a runner!

The blocks were all improv because I didn't want it all matchy-match. And when I had all four blocks done, and I thought why not make the pears face one direction each so every side of the table gets some pear action.

I'd actually pieced this and basted it over a week ago, but I couldn't figure out how to quilt it. So I just left it on the shelf and only picked it up the other night. Pebble quilting. I should try it. It would possibly be cute.

I kind of think it's pretty cute.

Yup, most definitely cute.

You can see the pebble quilting better on the reverse of the runner.

It ended up measuring 49.5" by 14", and is currently available in the shop :)

Cute, yeah. In fact, I'm kinda in love with it.

Someday, I will beat my sewing machine into submission and it will conform to my desire to do free-motion...

Very cute! I've been wanting to do some pebble quilting again, perhaps a table runner is the way to go!

Most definitely cute - you've inspired me to try pebble quilting on...something. Not sure what yet but duh - I can do it on something small to start. Thanks for the reminder.

so so cute! This is so fresh and modern and I absolutely love the pebble quilting you did (that's a great idea to test it out on a small project first)

Hi Audrie,
I am looking at fabric differently since following your blog. I want to try some of the boxy squares. I am trying to think out of the box. I'm also going to try to make my backings a little less traditional.
