A friend of mine had seen the Birdie girl quilt I made and wanted one like it for her nephew. She's been toying with the idea of learning to quilt, so I let her pick out most of the fabrics and picked a few from her pile.
I love how it looks quite a bit different from the girl version but still kind of the same.I sashed in a light blue since there's so many different blues in this quilt that I thought something light and soft would be best.
I put some green solid on the top of the backing, and added a small square in a slightly darker green on the bottom.
I love little squares!
I love little squares!
This one ended up measuring about 45" by 60" and will be a gift to the little boy come May.

very nice. The birdie fabric is super cute.
I'm really wanting to learn after seeing all your wonderful quilts. What is the machine like? Is it a regular one or one of the fancy quilters? Post about, please..............
