I finished the binding on one of the queen-sized quilts last night. And when I say night, I mean the sun was coming out. Ahem.
I realised I haven't shown the quilt in its entirety before, so here it is. I did 16 very large log cabins and a dark brown in the centre. The binding (oh so much binding) is the same dark brown and I'm glad I did that.
This quilt is totally not my style but I'm happy with how it turned out. I wasn't sure about the placement of the log cabins initially, but this is for the client's son who's religious and wanted something 'country'.
Very glad to get this done and dusted. Just got to finish quilting the John Deere quilt and start another queen. Oh and I just got orders from a baby store for three baby quilts by Christmas but I highly doubt I'll manage all three :( Thankfully they were understanding and said to send over whatever I could finish.

Thats a nice quilt. But you already knew that didn't you? You've got plenty of time to get your other quilts done, especially if you go without sleep. Just kidding.
Certainly is very pretty!
I like the way you placed them, too. It must be awesome to cross those huge quilts off the list!
It's always so neat to see different arrangements of log cabins. I've never made bicolor cabins like this before, but a courthouse steps is on my quilting to do list.
Love how this turned out and I think you made a quilt to meet expectations perfectly!
nice finish!! i think it turned out great!
