Having grown up in Singapore and Australia, I went all my life not knowing exactly what skunk smelled like. I mean, you know their spray stinks but without smelling it, you never quite know how terrible it is.
Then I moved here. I must say, I am not amused.
Anyway, I'm thankful the offending critter didn't enter our abode, but it might as well have. But don't worry, I only smell it when I breathe in.

Yeah, I remeber getting a whiff of it on the way back from your wedding in the US. Yarks.
Well, can't you just stop breathing in????? LOL! No really the smell will go away at some point.
yuck! you are lucky to have gone this long without smelling a skunk...
and, yes, it's a good thing you only smell it when you breathe in :)
I have a smallish Halloween giveaway at my blog if you'd like to come visit me. Thanks! Found u thru Rachel :)
I have the opposite, being from Vancouver, now living in Australia, there aren't any walking skunks, but there's this one spot on our drive home from the in-laws that something smells exactly like a skunk, must be a plant, but no idea what!!
