A Quilt For Tristan

A quilt for Tristan :) He is one of the smiliest (is that a word?) little boys I've ever had the joy of knowing. Please excuse the pen markings... I had a bit of an oops moment when I finished embroidering the name and then realised the 'n' was far smaller than the other alphabets. Next time I'll draw lines, promise.

Initially this was meant to be all shades of light to mid blue, with doggies, kitties or froggies. The only suitable fabrics I could find without going online were in flannel. And I highly doubt that'll work in the tropical weather of Singapore.

Thankfully Tristan's mummy looked at my fabric stash and decided she liked the animal prints I did have. There's kitties and froggies on there, so all's not lost.

I kept the back simple, and did a big piece of the animals with the yellow background for a nice splotch of colour.

It's in the wash right now... I hope Tristan and his mummy like this :)

I love it! I think that yellow does a nice job of making it not too-too baby.
