I have forgotten to post my 52 Lists entries the last few weeks. Oops. This one's about breakfast so I was all over that. There's tonnes more things to add to the list, but it could go on forever and ever. Especially when it comes to Singapore food. OMG. And if you're wondering, kaya is like a coconut jam thing, and chee kueh is like a umm rice flour thing that's steamed and topped with yummy salty things. I'm really not good at explaining these things. I'm good at eating them though.
Our vacuum cleaner finally bit the dust (Hur hur geddit? Dust? Vacuum? Not funny? I'll stop...) so we ordered a new one. I call it Darth Vader because... I mean look at it. It frightens me a little. It's sooooo much lighter than our old one so I zipped around the house cleaning the second it arrived.
And then I lay on the floor and admired my clean carpet. That remained clean for about five minutes when the cats had a little fur battle. Idiots.
I love my 75 cent socks from Target. I have them in pink too. Should've worn those to match my awesome Old Navy jammies.
I apologise for the gross picture but I was so excited about how much dirt it got out! I've become that lame-o who gets excited about vacuums and clean carpets... help...

I get a sick pleasure out of cleaning out the vacuum cleaner too. With two large shedding dogs there is always a enough fur to make another puppy when I am done cleaning.
Love the socks! So we have a short haired dog but I still get lots of hair/fur in the vacuum. And I throw the quilt from our bed into the dryer to get the hair off (don't want to wash it every day...lol)...also very gross!
I am in the market for a new vacuum so I was especially interested in your post. I was considering a Miele just because it was recommended for allergies but yours looks great! I never thought of throwing things in the dryer to remove hair, going to try it. I get excited by new cleaning equipment too...I thought I was the only one!!
If you really want to have fun, get a Hoover carpet shampooer. Guaranteed gross-out if you think the vaccuum gets your carpets clean, and very satisfying to use. I hate to vaccuum, but enjoy shampooing the carpet.
I'm more glad than ever that we recently replaced the carpet in three bedrooms and two hallways with wood floors. ;-)
If I had a blog back when I got my dyson, I would have posted gross pictures because honestly, I had to empty the canister halfway through the first vacuuming - that's how pathetic the old vacuum was. And I was so excited, I phoned home. And talked about the vacuum for so long my mum made an excuse to get off the phone. Seriously.
I get it. And I'm thrilled for you!!!
I have those socks too! And in pink I do believe. An awesome score!
In addition to your super clean carpet, I also love your quilt on your chair in the corner. Beautiful!
