Oh, Hello Luscious

Hello Luscious. It's so girlie without being sickly sweet. Well, I guess that depends on who you ask heehee! I love the pops of teal in the collection, but the mix of prints are just so pretty.

I made 16-patch blocks and smacked a large log cabin block in there too. I thought it needed to look kind of shabby chic and haphazard, so the log cabin idea was born.

I used an Ikea fabric for the back that I thought was just perfect because it had the pink, teal and green. The quilting is mostly just loops around the 16-patch blocks but I did a little something different in the log cabin block. Swirls and loops on each of the log cabin centre and rows. I used the 50wt Aurifil thread to quilt this one (I think I used white this time) and it came out beautifully again. So subtle that it doesn't overtake the quilt itself. Love me some Aurifil!

The quilt measures 48" by 57" and is currently available in the shop :)
