We had lunch at our favourite Vietnamese place and the hubs always has to try something new. It's something I admire about him.
Me? I'm boring and always get one of two things. This time it was the noodles with chicken. I get this so often the guy brings me my extra saucer of peanut sauce without me asking.
He got steamed tiny rice sticks that you have to wrap in the rice paper roll which you first have to soak in water. It was hilarious watching him attempt this... I taught him as best I could but there was only so much I could do hehehe! All I could do was sit back and watch, and try not to laugh too much. This is the only way I can describe his wrapping technique --Ten pounds of potatoes in a five pound sack.

That's so funny! We made spring rolls before and that's what my husband would do. Stuff as much as he could into the wrapper and then wonder why it kept splitting down the middle. :)
Looks delicious! What's the name of the place?
You just described exactly Dad's popiah-wrapping (lack of) skills!!!
