I'm completely in love with Aneela Hoey's fabric designs. I've been hoarding
Sherbet Pips,
Little Apples, and I'm counting the days till I can get my grubby hands on
A Walk in the Woods! Because foxes AND Little Red Riding Hood?! Come on! LOVE! :)
Anyway, I've managed to finally make a quilt out of Little Apples (
Don't worry, there's plenty more in my stash! Or maybe I'm the only one who's worried...) and I think it's so adorable!
The fabric itself has a beautiful feel to it, so it was a pleasure to work with.
I quilted it very simply... just straight lines a quarter inch away from the seams. So glad I did that because it stayed so nice and soft after a wash.
The back of the quilt is just solids so it doesn't take away from the adorable front :) I think they're Moda Bella... I can't remember. I should write these things down, I know...
I do know the binding is Kona Coal though! Hah! Redeemed self.
Love. In utter and complete love.
It's
currently available in the shop SOLD.

Love the quilting and the simplicity of the back which actually seems quite sophisticated with the quilting.... If that doesn't make sense, I mean to say, I like it. ;)
Oh, I really like this! I haven't been smitten with little apples at all yet... but now I just might be!! :)
Wow! Love this!
So cute! Very nice use of those little apples.
Wonderful. Now I know what I am doing with mine. Great quilting on it too.
totally cute!!
Yup. You should keep a journal~a little pic of each quilt, front and back. What fabrics you used, what batting, what kind of binding. What you liked about it (and what you wouldn't do on the next one!). In addition to all the regular stuff like the recipient, date made, size etc.,
Really cute quilt.
