I finally got my grandmother Rosie's ring resized :) When my mum handed it to me, she warned me to be careful with it since it was much too big for my fingers. So every time I put the ring on, I'd hear her chiding me. Now it fits me perfectly and when I put it on, I like to imagine my mum's voice going "good girl" hehe :)
I've loved this ring since I was little. I'd play with it on my grandmother's finger, and she'd tell me one time she was on a beach and happened to catch sight of something shiny in the sand. She picked it up and saw that it was a diamond... looked at her own ring and realised it was her own diamond that had fallen out. I always thought this ring was magical. I might be right.
The fact that she wanted me to have it makes me feel so loved, and that maybe she knew me better than I thought. I wear it with pride and I can't help but smile every time I look at it.
Anyone else wear something left to you by a loved one?

That's a beautiful ring.
I have my Grandmothers Hand of G-d necklace that she got in Israel.
My Mother-in-law just passed away and she left her diamond ring to my daughter.
So pretty! For my 16th birthday, my grandmother gave me my great grandmother's engagement ring. I love it so much! It was my "something old" on our wedding day but it's the one thing I'm afraid to wear everyday!!
It is a lovely ring. I'm glad she left it for you. I bet she knew you would get lots of enjoyment from it.
My studs are the diamonds from my Mom's ring, so I wear them everyday. The solitaire my daughter wears reset as pendant. And. Two weeks ago my new daughter in law wore her bracelet as they got married, she's bride number 6 in the family to wear it as "something borrowed". I love knowing Mom is always around!
I have my grandma's diamond engagement ring, too.
wowzers! gorgeous! and what a nice story to go with it. wear it well! :-)
I have my great Grandmothers diamond ring. I don't always wear it but when I do I love knowing it tethers me to the past.
Ah, how lovely, must be very special for you! I have my grandmothers' necklace, also very special for me.
Beautiful ring. I have one ring that I never take off. It is my late husband's wedding band. When he died, it was the one thing the coroner handed to me that proved it was, indeed, my husband that was gone :( I have not taken it off since it was handed to me that day.
