Once in a while I'll ask the hubs to grab some pierogies on his way home from work when I can't be bothered to make a proper dinner. Laziness is quite delicious :)
1. Thinly slice some onions then fry them with diced Canadian bacon.
2. Par-boil the pierogies then fry them in a large pan.
We eat them a lot in Saskatchewan. I love potato cheddar ones with mushroom sauce and shredded cheddar on top. But it's really hard to screw up a perogy. We even have dessert ones filled with berries that you serve with lemon curd.... Yum. Some day, I'm going to try making them. Apparently, Martha Stewart's mum's recipe is a good one if you're ambitious.

I've never had one - but saw some today on a Food show and they looked so yummy!
