An update on my hexagon project...
I clearly watch too much TV because I have over 700 hexagons made. Yikes.
And I've finally decided on a layout. Initially I was going to do scrappy flowers with two rings, centred and sashed in white hexagons, kind of like this. Then I saw a quilt hanging in a shop that had the white in the centre that I wanted, but just little flowers with one ring and no sashing. Winner, winner, chicken dinner!
I'm thrilled with how it's turning out so far. There's still a long road ahead, but I'm thoroughly enjoying myself :)

Geesh! I just read the other day {maybe 2 days ago} you were starting on this! Are your fingers raw? Lol! I also began a Grandmother's Flower Garden, but I have not nearly done 700! Very nice....lovely, in fact!
Looks lovely. I like this pattern much more than the other to be honest. I am working on a similar project (hexagons and diamonds) and have just started to piece it together like you. After a bit of midway blues It feels great to see it come together and I find it hard to not sew all the time now :)
This looks beautiful
Wow...your fingers must be flying!! Thanks for the picture of the other quilt. I have never seen a flower garden quilt where the "petals" didn't all match. It's interesting...and might be fun to try a mini version.

I'm loving the fabric combos. 700 hexies is a LOT of tv time - lucky you :o)
Love your quilt! I love sewing too~ I am from Malaysia ^ ^ Nice meeting you~
