It's rhubarb season! Which means I find the need to buy it every time I see it and make something. Usually strawberry rhubarb pie, but yesterday I thought I'd try something different and went with a rhubarb coffee cake. If you like rhubarb, you need to make this. Nom nom nom.
Back to working on the quilts for my parents. I got busy with making baby quilts for the many, many friends and family who were / are expecting, and had to set this aside. Even though it's a little monotonous making the same kind of block over and over again, I can't help but smile while I make this because I love that I'm making them for the two best people in the world :)

I cannot tell you how excited I am for rhubarb season. I had my first strawberry - rhubarb pie last year and OH MY GOD it was delicious. I see many more in my future!
I love rhubarb too...I have an awesome recipe for strawberry, rhubarb crumble..your post is making me crave some...my family hates rhubarb, they think it is a weed that grows on the side of the highway...too bad for them, more for me! Enjoy your cake and sewing too...envious! Lisa in Texas
