Oh Hey, Remember When I Used To Quilt?

I was quilting my cousin's baby's quilt and realised I can't remember the last post I did on a quilt. I suck. I'm sorry.

I did skinny lines on the quilt and halfway through I wished I'd had a different idea. But now that it's finished, I'm thrilled with it. It's just done in the dryer so I'll show you tomorrow!

I haven't had much time to work on my Dad's quilt and I've only got 20 blocks done so far. Told you I suck.

A friend of mine commissioned a baby quilt for another friend of ours. Duckies were the basis of the brief. Picked out these fabrics for it so hopefully she likes it. If she doesn't, that's really too bad :P Love when friends commission quilts... I can be myself, ie: a complete and utter bitch... but with a smile! :)

And for a non-quilty topic, the hubs and I have a new favourite place to eat. But it's got its pros and cons...

Pros:
1. Amazing food
2. Bubble tea that tastes like bubble tea.
3. It reminds me of my favourite Vietnamese place in Perth.

Cons:
1. Slow service.
2. Sloooooow service.
3. Seriously, I'm still waiting on my glass of water.

But like I said, amazing food. Nom nom nom.

I love the straight lines and can't wait to see the whole quilt. As for great food and slow service, thats why we always carry books! (Or in my case a Kindle)!

Love your blog. Between your quilting and the hee-lar-ious conversations between you and your husband, I can't decide which I enjoy more!

The square in the square, is it a pattern? The size and proportions are perfect, the aesthetic is pleasing to my eye and I was wondering if you would share the measurements.

I sew and quilt and could figure it out, but as of late, I am in LAY-ZEE mode and when I want to sew, I just want to sew without having to figure anything out. :-)

Thank you for sharing and have a great day!

@stephanie: Thanks! :) The square in square blocks aren't really a pattern... the strips are 2.5" wide so the centre's 2" finished, and you just build on that. It's the easiest thing so no thinking required hehe
