Quilt-Along Quilt... Quilted!

(Wow, I used the heck out of the word 'quilt' in that title, huh?)

I finally got round to quilting my Quilt-Along quilt last week, and I had loads of fun doing it because I didn't do the usual stipple or loopy quilting. I decided to practice my freehand free motion quilting and just make it up as I go.

The back's super colourful too... I just used scraps and extra blocks I'd made to piece a fun backing. Looks a little split personality but I love it!

I really love this quilt. I intended to give it away but that's proving difficult. And upon seeing it finished, the hubs insisted that we use this one, so it's definitely not going anywhere :)

Hurray for a split personality :)

It looks great - and so cool all the individual free motion work!

The scraps on the back look awesome! I have one to make with scraps and I like how you used so many in the back. Very pretty!

It looks fabulous! Congratulations on finishing it. Mine is waiting patiently for Christmas and our summer hoiday to be finished before I start cutting out the extra blocks to make it bigger. i also went through the stash and have earmarked backing fabrics. I think mine will be split personality too.

That's beautiful! I love the free motion quilting that varies from block to block.

your quilt is lovely!

I am a bit late to join the party but I really want to use this quilt-a-long to make my Mum a quilt for her 60th Birthday.

However, I know you used scraps/stashed fabrics, but you also mention providing yardage amounts but I cannot find them anywhere on your blog... Would you have them at all??? I would just need a rough idea as I dont have a big stash to pull from.

Are you planning any quilting over the Easter weekend?
