Quilt-Along Starts Next Week!

We're going to start the quilt-along next week! Are you ready?

To give you a little taste of what we'll be doing, these are some of the blocks I've done so far. I've been dragging out all my bright, colourful scraps because I decided I have enough grey quilts around the house!
So come Monday, we shall start with the first block. The star with the diamond centre... top row in the picture.

I figure we'll do them block by block, then we'll put them together when we've finished all the blocks. I'm hoping a week will be enough to do however many blocks are needed of each. And I'll add the instructions for each week's block to my sidebar for those who may fall behind or choose to join in at a later time.

I've been using large scraps to make my blocks and that really was the point of this quilt-along -- I'm fairly certain everyone's got some large scraps taking up space in their scrap bins. Otherwise, fat quarters would be perfect too. I'll give you the fabric requirements before Monday so everyone's ready to go :)

I've been oogling over your sketches and previews! I love today's blocks, especially the different solids for the backgrounds. I adore star blocks, so this looks like such a fun quilt to work on.

Can't wait!! I think I have some FQs hanging around that are just dying to be pulled into this!

Any guide as to how many to make of each block? What is the total you would need to achieve the look in your drawing because lets face it that's a great looking quilt you drew up.
