I've been supremely boring with my quilting of late. I've been strapped for time and because my Etsy store was looking quite sparse, I thought I'd better fill it quickly. The squares in squares made with a layer cake have been the quickest to put together, so I made a couple more this week with some of my favourite fabrics.
Moda Hunky Dory... absolutely gorgeous. The fabric itself has such a nice hand, and the colours are divine. A few of the prints didn't really lend themselves to being cut up so I left them whole.
I pieced the back in the colours from the front out of large scraps I had. And you know I did loopy quilting...
The binding is a dotty fabric I had by Northcott... I think it's from the Noah's Ark line, but I'm not sure. It's one of my favourite dotty fabrics ever and I've had it in my stash for ages and thought it's about time it sees the light of day :)
The quilt ended up being 48" by 55" and is available in the store SOLD.
The backing is a dot I had in my stash that went so nicely with the quilt, and the binding is a very dark brown with large random white dots. Cuteness. And again, loopy quilting... I think I'm addicted.
