Blocks, Blocks And More Blocks

My grandma's hasn't been doing too well back home in Singapore, and I feel helpless all the way here in the States. Every day I wait for a phone call, asking me to come home.
I decided I needed to do something for her to cheer her up a little. My sister and I figured she'd love some pretty pillows, and I chose to use Fig Tree & Co's Fig & Plum from my stash. So glad I went with these fabrics because they're definitely colours she likes :)
I really like this spiderweb block.
This one's just 64 little squares.
I'll probably give each a couple borders in solids and / or small floral prints. They'll end up being about 20" square, maybe a touch bigger, so she can actually prop her head up on them instead of just using them as decoration.
I can't wait to get these done so I can send them off to her.
And if you could, please send good thoughts to my sweet grandma... we'd all really appreciate it :)

My health-and-happiness mojo is winging its way eastward (some of which is destined to stop at your place because it can't be fun to be so far away.)

The pillows will be gorgeous when they're finished and I'm sure they'll go a long way towards helping your Grandma! Take care!

You are so lucky - a "grand"mother.
