I've finished all 30 blocks for the hourglass quilt I'm working on, so I laid it all out to make sure I like it before sewing the quilt top together.

The colours are a little off since the sun's taken the day off. The client originally wanted a more grassy green (well she chose four kinds of greens...) but I think the touch of lime in the green sits better with the purple and grey. I hope she agrees!

I went to get fabrics to put together the backing. Normally for large quilts I use a flat sheet, but the client didn't want that. So I went with floral prints that have greens, purples and whites. And I think I'll do a scrappy binding in darker hues of the colours I used on the quilt top.
