I was chatted up today. By a very shabby young man. Outside a dollar store. Yay for me.
The last time I got chatted up, it was at the drive-thru of a Dunkin' Donuts by the guy serving us. He was tattooed* and had a gold tooth. My MIL was with me and she stopped laughing long enough to call my hubs to rat on me. Hey, I can't help it if I attract Grade A specimens.
Anyway it's still full steam ahead around here. Everyone's telling me to take a nice long break after I'm done with my quilt orders but I really don't think I want to. Sure I'm a little tired, but it's not like I go at this speed all year round. Besides, when you enjoy what you do, it's hardly work, is it?
The funniest bit... they contacted me to ask my permission to feature my business' name in the article. Umm, YES PLEASE!
And I'm piecing together the other queen-sized quilt. It's for the client's son who's coming out of military school and will be joining the military. He initially asked me for a military quilt, meaning camouflage (Noooooooooooooooooooooo), but I suggested something more red, white and blueinstead and thankfully he liked the idea.
Okay back to quilting.
* I myself am very tattooed so I have nothing against tattoos :)

That's so cool about the baby quilts. They sell them AND advertise for you. Awesome
Hehehe, I love your funny stories Audrie! What's the name of the store that ordered your quilts? I'm in Toronto!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with tattoos . I myself don't have any but I imagine his gold teeth really set 'em off right? Congrats on having a Canadian pimp... You go girl!
That's hilarious. I get those people but they mostly just want to tell me their life stories. Only occasionally are they looking to flirt. :-)
Check you out! That's pretty impressive.
I'm talking about the quilts, not the shabby man flirting :)
