I finished a quilt for my niece Lea who turns two next month. She lives in Singapore, so my sister offered to take it to her for me.

The reason I did this is that Lea's mum (my cousin Lavinia) is possibly the fussiest person when it comes to decor and colours. So in hopes of not testing her gag reflex, I thought I'd keep it super simple. The back's just a pink gingham, and the binding's the green dot fabric again. I really tried not to use it for this quilt, but even my sister agreed it was necessary.

Wow, this quilt is like crazy.amazing!! The quilting and layers give the fabric a completely lux and vintage feel. What an adorable piece!!
P.S. -- I found your blog through A Cup of Jo -- your comment about your your dad and your mother's perfume was just too.too perfect!!
i LOVE it! i saw that fabric at IKEA and thought about doing the same sort of thing...but i figured that i should use the fabric that i bought there a year ago first. silly me! love the binding...and the simplicity of the whole thing is just perfect.
