A few weeks ago we noticed a couple ants here and there in the kitchen. Growing up in Singapore this doesn't alarm me because it's pretty much standard procedure there (it's not that Singapore's dirty or infested with ants, I think it's just the tropical climate).
We dropped a few ant traps but occasionally you see the odd ant roaming on the counter. I tend to cool down leftover coffee in my measuring cup (it's got a spout) so I can make coffee ice cubes.
So I did this.
The hubs thought it was genious.
I never thought it was that clever since it's something we've always done. Logically, ants can't swim so you make a moat around your food or drink.
