Look! It's my Single Girl quilt ON MY BED!!!
I had it long arm quilted by Laura and I AM IN LOVE!!! It's beyond beautiful and better than what I thought it'd looked like. You'll have to excuse the odd light... our bedroom gets pretty much NO light and the bulbs are yellow. Boo. Anyway, I went with a baptist fan pattern because I didn't want to distract from the rings too much. So happy with my choice!
(Please ignore the headboard-less-ness... we haven't gotten round to choosing one)
I used a Moda Dottie in grey for the back and it's really the perfect backing. Dots? Check. Beautiful hand? Check. Wide back? Check check check!
The binding is Kona Coal, just like the background, because I didn't want to take away from the rings. So it kind of looks like the rings are just 'floating' there without a frame.
The quilt kind of matches my current nail colour... dark grey. Total coincidence but I like it! :)
I highly recommend this pattern as a long term project. Do a little here and there, and it'll be done in no time. Mine would've been finished a lot sooner had I not left it on my shelf for months on end. Thank goodness I worked on mine with Shannon because I don't know if I'd finish at all otherwise. So that's another tip... maybe work on it with a friend, if only just to keep each other on track.
Speaking of Shannon, look at hers!!! She very unselfishly gifted it to her friend as a wedding gift (hmm there's something ironic about a Single Girl quilt as a wedding gift lol). The quilting is spectacular and I honestly am in awe. LOVE!! :)

Oh Audrie it's gorgeous!! I reeeally need to get my wedding ring quilt out to work on....
I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
I love yours! I got out my pattern and looked at it-so many pieces! Maybe I will try it for a long term project!
Congrats on the Single Girl finish! It looks great and the Baptist Fan quilting is perfect. Hmmm, never found my pattern so I just bought another last Friday. I am looking forward to choosing fabrics for it - although I'd love it for myself I really owe my daughter a quilt as she's been a hard-working grad student the past 2 years.

Beautiful quilt! I found your blog through Vickie's and your tutorial on a patchwork sewing machine cover. You've inspired me to make one and I am super excited. I am a newbie at blogging and quilting (in fact I have my second class tonight!)
Thanks for the inspiration and as soon as I have mine done - I will share.... I am a new follower of you and Vickie.

Oh. My. Freakin'. Word.
That is the most beautiful quilt!

It is so beautiful! I love the colors and your pick of quilting!
Have a good night.

Congrats on finishing! It's absolutely beautiful! :D
Oh, Audrie - it's stunning! I love the binding - I'm a huge fan of binding designs like that one in a "frameless" way... There's a woman in town here who does landscapes and art quilts that depict farm scenes. She pieces the binding so it matches the quilt at every edge - looks like it's without a frame but when you look at it closely, the craftsmanship is incredible. My jaw dropped when I saw them.
OMG!!! It's amaze-balls!!! Super-love your colors together! Can I come over and wrap myself up in it?!? We should celebrate with Pink Berry this weekend! Also, we're Single Girl bloggy twins today!
Beautiful... the colors, the design, the quilting, what a wonderful quilt!!
It's brilliant. I can't remember if the circles are appliquéd down?
Woohoo! Well done! I wish I could see it in real life - I'm sure it's even more fabulous in person.
This is so awesome! Congrats for one very fine finish!!!
Wow! It looks amazing! I made a baby sized single girl for my son (which is up there with the wedding quilt single girl in not-making-sense-ness), and I really want to make a king one for our bed, especially now I've seen yours!
Love love love it! Want one just like it. You don't mind do you? Of course you don't. :) Every quilty home must have a single girl in it.
Beautiful! What a fabulous accomplishment! I need to start mine, I have all the fabric but the background color picked out. Hummmm.
Stunningly beautiful!
It's stunning! And I love the quilting. Bravo!
Audrie, it looks gorgeous! I love the quilting on it, it totally complements your rings!
