Triple Irish Chain Quilt Top Done!

Ahhhh I'm all done with the triple irish chain quilt top! It's actually gone quicker than I thought it would, and not as tedious as I'd imagined. Well, slightly tedious, but worth it. Sewing the rows together was the worst part... all that pinning and matching of seams. I haven't made a queen-sized quilt in a little while so I forgot just how much my back hurts when I work on them. My back kind of hurts now but I forced the hubs to give me a back rub, so it's all good :)

The quilt ended up being about 93" square so it'll make a nice bed quilt. Hopefully neither of them are quilt thieves like the hubs hehe! Now to figure out how it should be quilted... (No, I'm not going to quilt this. I want it to actually look good.)

I can't wait to gift it! The bride is loving it so far, so that has me beyond thrilled and relieved. I'm most certainly going to weep when I gift it but knowing she loves and appreciates handmade makes it a lot easier. Or I'll just instruct the hubs to hold me back so I don't snatch it back and make a run for it...

It's freaking beautiful, Audrie. So worth all that time you spent sewing strips. :-)
