My husband is a 15-yr. cancer survivor so we spent the weekend at 2 different Survivor events. Both Inspiring and upbeat. Going on a quilt retreat in 9 days & looking forward to getting some UFOs finished.

I worked all weekend. Not fun I know, but with NATO in town our owner wanted 'all hands on deck'. Most of my time was overtime and overtime = bigger quilting budget, so yay!

We have a bird's nest up under our roof, right outside our bedroom window. There is what sounds like 10 baby birds all chirping for food at 5:00 every morning. It makes me crazy, but I can't remove the nest until they all fly away. How's that for random?

I spent this past weekend visiting my 82 yr old mother in Ohio (I live in Washington.) She moved into an senior living center last fall. We had fun but it sure was tiring!

Sweet quilt. Busy weekend. Saturday worked my booth at craft mall for a little while. Had son and his fiance and some college friends over for a cook out. Sunday was church, friends over for a cook out, children and puppies underfoot. Older one swimming, husband grilling. Lots of laughs.
On Saturday we had a little bbq for our neighbors who are moving, and on Sunday we celebrated my best friend's daughter's 13th birthday and got to see the annular eclipse!
This weekend I celebrated my undergrad graduation with my family! :) I also spent time at the beach with my friend, and scrapbooked and quilted. A solid weekend for sure.
On Saturday we attended a block party and met a bunch of new people. I found out the women who just moved in across the street last month is a quilter too!

I'm currently working on the AMH Prism QAL. I am doing mine in all Oakshott cottons and have changed up the color arrangement a bit. It is going to be gorgeous and I have a new best friend called STARCH or Best Press for short. It works wonders for those bias edges on all of the triangles in this. Oh, and I reduced it by 50% too.
I'm trying to sew myself dome summer clothes. I'd rather be quilting.
I am going to finish off the Roman blind for my dinning room which I have put off for awhile.

This past weekend, I went to a wedding (my boyfriend's friends), and it just so happened that we were seated at the same table as two boys (men now) that I went to elementary school with! They're twin brothers, and it was very weird to see that they were both married and that one of them had a newborn baby in tow. I guess it was "that moment" for me when I realized how...old I was! this weekend I took my pre-schooler to a bunch of garage sales. He got a Hot Wheels car and a toy airplne, and I bought 4 oak chairs for $15 total, plus a pair of 50 cent earrings that I put onto fresh hooks from the craft store, then went to my brother-in-laws graduation party where everyone complimented my garage sale earrings :)
