I decided we needed a picnic blanket so I grabbed some red fabric and pieced them together. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a quilt top because there was so little sewing involved!

I had it all basted and initially thought of doing loopy quilting. Then I thought perhaps I ought to try just doing squiggly circles here, there, everywhere.

I'm quite happy with how it turned out :) It's a relatively large picnic blanket (approx 72" by 60") because I wanted a few people to be able to sit on it comfortably with food in the middle. And I'm not an outdoorsy kind of girl so I don't like my feet to touch grass when I'm outside. I know, I'm weird.

I just used a plain dark red fabric for the backing. I'd initially thought of using vinyl but something about that just didn't feel right. All cotton makes it easy to wash anyway.

Here's an oopsie circle. I must've had a brain fart or something. And yes, I kept it.
