Triangle Quilt

I'm so obsessed with the colours on this quilt. You might see quite a bit more of this colour combination in the future. Consider this fair warning :) I was inspired by something I saw while in NYC a couple of Fridays ago, and when I got home, I immediately went to my fabric stash to start pulling fabrics.

I've decided that I'm completely addicted to triangles of any kind. I cannot get enough of them! HSTs, 60° triangles, isosceles triangles. ADDICTED, I SAY.

So for this quilt, I used a kaleidoscope (isosceles) template ruler to cut out the triangles so there's really not much to the pattern. I just wanted these colours to mingle and exist together on a quilt :)

I didn't want to saturate the entire quilt with colour (I think especially with Tangerine in there, it could get to be too much), so I spread them out and used some neutrals in between.

I couldn't figure out what to bind the quilt with... I auditioned for ages and finally my eyes landed on this black and white stripe. Ding ding ding! :)

I can't think of a name for this so Triangle Quilt it shall be :) It finished at 41" by 50" and is currently listed in the shop SOLD! (This has to be a new record!)

  1. I like it! I've been wanting to do a 60 degree triangle quilt soon. Do you read Red Pepper Quilts? Because this is very much a binding that she would have chosen!

  14. OMG! Did you put a brown in there? It looks fantastic, but so unlike you!! I'm probably going to have to be a copy cat again...In fact, I think my new scheme will be to let you come up with the brilliant ideas and then just make one exactly like it for myself. Please begin doubling your fabric purchases so I won't have to be bothered with tracking everything down for myself. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter.
