I did a bit of hand embroidery yesterday and I'm loving it :)
This one's on a commissioned quilt I'm working on. I'd initially done the embroidery in a very pale pink but I hated it after finishing one of the names, so I ripped it out and used a darker pink. Looks a lot better, I think.
This one's for my niece who's turning 3 over the weekend. I'm making her a bunting wall hanging as part of her pressie and I thought I'd embroider my three wishes for her birthday... Live, Learn and Love. I'm putting the binding on now and trying to figure out how best to hang it. A sleeve? Loops? Suggestions would be most welcome!
Would you please put pictures of the whole items up when you're done. The taste of embroidery makes me really curious to see the rest cause I like what I see.
ReplyDeletewonderful job!!!
ReplyDeleteCute wall hanging! I do all mine with the 3M velcro strips. I stitched them onto the larger quilt - just stuck them to my minis! Haven't had one drop off yet.
ReplyDeleteAw, this is so sweet!
ReplyDeleteI want to see the whole thing!!! This looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove the embroidery!
ReplyDeleteA lady at the quilt guild said that she puts triangles (a square folded to be a triangle) in each corner of her quilt (just under the binding). Then you just add a wooden rod under the pocket the triangles create to hang it.
