Chicken... It's What's For Dinner

"Honey, I'm not sure what the hell this tastes like because I pulled it out of my bum."

I like making pre-dinner announcements like this as sort of a safety net when I make something without a recipe.

A giant chicken patty with mashed sweet potato. Or a plate of orange.

The patty was like eating a very massive, flattened chicken meatball. (If you're wondering, I threw in thyme, salt, pepper, paprika and pressed it in breadcrumbs before baking in the oven.) It was surprisingly good.

I think I found something to add to the repertoire when I haven't the luxury of time. What do you make when you need food in a flash?

  1. What do I make? A chicken pizza. Use crushed tomatoes as the sauce, dice a few cooked chicken breasts, add some cheese, mushrooms and olives. Bake it, and your good to go, an hour from start to finish tops.

  2. Boil organic 4 minute ramen noodles, with golden mushroom, bean sprouts, brown onions & spring onions. Toss into soya sauce, sesame oil, tomato sauce, oyster sauce and pepper. That's less than 10 minutes.
