Wedding Quilt Finished!

The wedding quilt for our friends Celeste and Steve is done! And I'm quite pleased with it, if I do say so myself :)

My Steve held the quilt up for me to photograph even though there were a zillion other things he'd rather do when he walks through the door after work heehee!

I fell in love with Moda Wild Rose while I was making this quilt, and I think it's just so pretty. Especially with Kona Ash. HEEHEE. (I'm addicted and not even going to hide it anymore... wasn't doing a very good job of it anyway.)

I can't wait to gift it to them :) They're super busy with preparing for their wedding (in three short weeks!) so I'm not sure when we're able to meet up but hopefully soon because I'm busting over here.

  2. Wow. That is stunning! Did you find that pattern somewhere or did you create it yourself? And I echo the previous commenter; the quilting is fantastic. I've just recently begun free-motion quilting myself and am totally baffled by beautiful quilting like yours.

  3. Third times a charm! I agree the quilting is beautiful. Did you quilt it yourself? If you did, do you have a longarm? It's a big quilt, the design and the colors are wonderful. Your a very talented person. ;->

  5. @maalivahti: Thank you! The quilt's heavily based on a pattern in the Jelly Roll Sampler book, but I changed a few of the blocks because I didn't like them so much.

  12. the level of awesome you're quilting lends to the finished product is ridiculous. I'm jealous of how squidgy wonderful those stars are going to be in a few years after a few dozen washings.
