I finished the custom order for the candy quilt and it's so cute! I named it Sweet Dreams because it seemed appropriate. And I heart the Eurythmics. Showing my age again...
I'm surprised by how much I like it. Sure that baby's not going to sleep a wink (those colours are quite bright!) but how cute!?
I'd never had a Tootsie Roll till I came to the States... I'm a little bit of a fan, although having to suck candy out of my teeth for a long time after isn't very fun. Or ladylike.
I used a tiny jellybean print for the binding and at first I thought perhaps the quilt was busy enough, but I love it. Now I want jellybeans...
I did a pieced backing with the leftover fabrics, and some others I purchased. The Twizzler print is hilarious to me... I keep thinking they're red fries. 
All folded and ready to go to its new home :)

I can't believe there is that much candy fabric! I love the Dots...is that what they're called? The hard little blobs on the paper strip.

Every time you make a reference to something dear to me and follow it up with "showing your age", I feel old. Stop it please or I will inundate you with very real and compelling reasons why you need the $3000 sewing machine instead of reassuring you that the $1400 is more than adequate and capable of satisfying your needs. :-D
