Hope Valley Quilty Goodness

Oh Hope Valley, how I love thee. I fell in love with this collection the second I laid eyes on it. The colours are just stunning and my favourite print changes on a daily basis.

I really like how this came out.

I treated this sort of as a trial run for the quilt I'm making for our bed out of Hope Valley. I figured if I could cut into a jelly roll and charm pack, I could finally hack into the half yard cuts sitting pretty on my shelf. Well, one can hope.

I used an Ikea cotton fabric for the backing because I thought both the grey and the leaves kind of mirrored the Hope Valley prints.

For the binding, I used some of the leftover strips to make a patchwork binding, and I love it :) There's something so whimsical and cute about patchwork binding, no?

It ended up being 41" by 51" and is currently available in the shop SOLD! :)
